FIFA 20 Ratings: Top 10 Footballers ranked


The final ten has an interesting mix of players


EA Sports first started their FIFA Series of video games in late 1993.  While there were already quite a few football video games in the market at that time, what made the FIFA Series special was that it was the first one to have an official license from the Football governing body, FIFA. Since then though, it has grown to become the biggest football video game in the world right now. The game has been translated into 18 languages and is available in around 51 countries in the world.

Football fans and gamers around the world, as such, are eagerly awaiting the release of the FIFA 20, EA Sport’s most recent version of the game. Recently EA Sports announced the FIFA 20 Ratings of the top 100 players in the latest edition. Today, we bring you the top 10 rated players from this year’s edition of the popular video game.

10. Marc Ter Stegen – 90

The German goalkeeper is undoubtedly one of the best goalkeepers in the world right now. Marc Ter Stegen has been integral to Barcelona’s tactics over the years and has been stellar under the bars for his club. The German is very comfortable with the ball at his feet, which has suited Barcelona’s style of play.
Ter Stegen has received a rating of 90 in FIFA 20. He has a diving ability of 88 and his reflexes are rated 90. His ball-handling ability is 85, positioning is 88 and kicking ability is 88.

9. Luka Modric – 90

Last year’s Ballon d’Or winner might not be in the running for the award this year, but Luka Modric still makes it to the top ten in the FIFA 20 ratings. The Croatian has experienced a difficult start to the new season with Real Madrid, however, there’s no denying his abilities. Luka Modric still is one of the best midfielders in the world and is one of only 2 midfielders who make it to the top ten.
The Croatian has an overall rating of 90 in FIFA 20. Interestingly his skill moves and weaker foot are both rated 4 stars. Luka Modric has a dribbling ability of 90, while his passing is rated 89. He also has a 76 in shooting and 72 in defending.

8. Mohamed Salah – 90

When everyone expected Mohamad Salah to experience second season syndrome last year, the Egyptian went ahead and won his second Premier League Golden Boot. Salah has started the new season on a similar note and will be looking at a hat-trick of Golden Boot awards this term. The Egyptian is still one of Jurgen Klopp’s most important players in the team and is one of two Liverpool players to make it to the top 10.
The Egyptian has received an overall rating of 90 in FIFA 20. Salah has a pace of 93, the fastest in the top ten and has a dribbling ability of 89. He also has a 86 in shooting and 81 in passing.

7. Virgil van Dijk – 90

The recently awarded UEFA Player of the Year and the UEFA Defender of the Season is, without doubt, the best defender on the planet at the moment. And Virgil van Dijk is the only defender who makes it into the crème de la crème of FIFA 20. The Dutchman is also among the 3 shortlisted players for the Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award and you can read about his chances of winning the award here.
Virgil van Dijk gets a rating of 90 in this year’s edition of the popular video game. The Dutchman has a two-star rating for skills and a 3-star rating for weak foot ability. He has been given a rating of 86 in Physicality and 90 for Defending.

6. Jan Oblak – 91

The Athletico Madrid goalkeeper is the highest rated shot-stopper in the game this year. Jan Oblak is certainly one of the best goalkeepers in the world at the moment and has performed admirably for club and country in recent years. The Slovenian is also one of the stars of La Liga and has been indispensable for Diego Simeone’s side of late.
Jan Oblak is allotted an overall rating of 91 in FIFA 20. He has a rating of 92 in ball handling, while his reflexes are rated at 89. Oblak has ratings of 90 in positioning and 87 in diving.

5. Kevin de Bruyne – 91

The Manchester City man is the highest rated midfielder in FIFA 20. Kevin de Bruyne’s rise in the world of football has been magical. Last season’s injury problems were a temporary glitch and the Belgian seems to be back to his best right now. De Bruyne is the engine room of the City team who will be hoping for a European Treble this season.
The Belgian has a total rating of 91 in the game this year. Interestingly, his passing skills have been rated 92, the joint highest in the top 10. He has a rating of 87 in dribbling and 86 in shooting.

4. Eden Hazard – 91

The reigning Europa League Player of the year was brilliant for Chelsea last season and quite deservedly sealed a high profile move to Real Madrid over the summer. Eden Hazard has been tipped to become the heir to Cristiano Ronaldo at the Santiago Bernabeu and has also been given the coveted No. 7 shirt at Real.
The Belgian has an overall rating of 91 in FIFA 20. Hazard has a dribbling ability of 94, pace of 91 and passing ability of 86. His shooting has received a rating of 83.

3. Neymar – 92

The Brazilian is the third highest-rated footballer in this year’s edition of the game. Neymar is only the second South American in this list and is the only player from Ligue 1 to make it to the top 10. The Brazilian also has received the second-highest dribble rating in the game.
Neymar’s overall rating in FIFA 20 is a robust 92. He has a dribbling rating of 95 and a pace of 91. The Brazilian’s shooting ability has received a rating of 85 and his passing ability has been rated 87. His skill moves and weaker foot have both received a 5-star rating.

2. Cristiano Ronaldo – 93

The Portuguese had a stellar season with Juventus and has settled well in Italy since his move in the summer of 2018. Cristiano Ronaldo is among the three players shortlisted for the Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award, but he might not be the front runner for the award this year, as you can read here. Interestingly, because of contractual issues involving Juventus, the Portuguese is a part of the Piemonte Calcio team in EA Sports’ FIFA 20.
Ronaldo has received an overall rating of 93 in this year’s edition of the game. Additionally, he has received 90 in pace, 89 in dribbling, 93 in shooting and 82 in passing. The Portuguese’s skill moves have been rated 5 stars, while his weaker foot has been rated 4 stars.

1. Lionel Messi – 94

The GOAT is deservedly the highest-ranked player footballer in FIFA 20. Lionel Messi had a stellar 2018/19 season with Barcelona and his goal scoring form touched record-breaking heights once again. The Argentinean also won the UEFA Forward of the Season and is one of the favorites to win the Best FIFA Men’s Player of the Year Award. You can read about his chances of winning the award here.
Messi has received an overall rating of 94 in FIFA 20. The Barcelona Skipper’s weaker foot and Skill moves have both been rated 4 stars. Messi has a dribbling ability of 96, the highest in the top 10 and his shooting ability has received a rating of 92. His pace and passing ability have been rated 87 and 92.
